Key Position Available:- Fabricator, 2nd shift (starting pay $18.00*)
(*Off shift adder pay additional $0.75; additional pay increase of $0.75 at 6 months and 1 year service, plus annual merit increase.)
Position Purpose: Responsible for riveting brake lining onto brake shoes.
Essential Functions:- Verifies correct parts
- Loads shoe into riveter
- Gauges a riveted shoe
- Verifies part quality
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Training: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualifications:- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to work well with others
- Must be able stand continuously for 8-12 hrs
- Must be able to lift up to 70lbs occasionally depending on customer orders
- Must be able to bend, twist and lift repetitively
- Use foot pedal
- Ability to work in tight places
- Good hand/eye coordination and good motor skills
- Ear and Eye protection required at all times in production areas
- Exposure to a noisy work environment
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions
- Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
- Exposure to brake pad dust
- Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards are required at all times
