Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer are:

  • Process Validation & Quality Assurance - Lead FAIR (AS9102), PPAP, and GR&R studies to optimize quality processes.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) & Continuous Improvement - Drive cost reduction initiatives, Six Sigma projects, and Kaizen events to enhance efficiency.
  • Manufacturing & Inspection Collaboration - Work with engineering, production, and metrology teams to create and refine inspection method sheets.
  • Regulatory & Customer Compliance - Ensure AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 compliance while aligning with Pratt & Whitney and aerospace industry standards.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - Utilize SPC monitoring, GD&T, and statistical analysis to improve product quality.

The Successful Applicant

The succesful Quality Engineer will:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering preferred (or Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience).
  • Expertise in GD&T, aerospace QMS requirements, and inspection processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in RCCA, MRB, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience with AS9102 FAIR, PPAP, and metrology tools (PC-DMIS, GOM software) a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, VBA, or Python is an added advantage.
