Job Description:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide essential patient care in a Long Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home setting. The CMA will work closely with nurses and healthcare professionals to support residents’ daily medical and personal care needs, ensuring a high level of comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nurses and healthcare providers in daily resident care.
• Take and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision (if allowed by state regulations).
• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, dressing, and mobility.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Assist with routine medical procedures and specimen collection.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active CMA certification (state or nationally recognized).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Long Term Care or Nursing Home settings.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible, variable schedule.
