Manager of Optimization and Engineering
The TRNG Leader is responsible for the overall management of collecting the landfill gas and delivering it to the processing plants within the TRNG portfolio of assets, so that TRNG can deliver reliable Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) to the market.
They will be leading a management team to ensure employees deliver the goals and objectives of Tomorrow RNG with responsibilities for safety, compliance, effective, and reliable operations.

What you will do:
- Lead and manage a technical team to ensure that effective engineering, technical and operating support is provided to the operating areas within the Tomorrow organization.
- Champion high standards of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Stewardship by modeling safe and responsible working behaviors in alignment with the Tomorrow RNG safety principles to ensure high workplace safety standards are maintained.
- Cultivate a positive, high functioning culture by modeling respectful and inclusive behaviors in alignment with the Tomorrow RNG core values of respect and inclusion.
- Ensure capability and career development focused leadership by supporting employee goals and development using Individual Development Plans (IDP’s) and ensuring sufficient opportunities to grow and enhance each employee’s competence consistent with business short and long-term needs.
- Develop and lead an implementation strategy for the Tomorrow RNG Technical staff to support the overall objectives and drive continuous improvement for the company.
- With a vision of optimizing costs and improving reliability, this role coordinates and leads system optimization efforts, development and execution of technical recommendations, risk assessments and asset reliability controls.
- In partnership with Peer Managers and other key partners, actively seek opportunities to implement strategies that align and contribute to improved asset system performance, reliability, and availability across Tomorrow RNG.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and state requirements and the requirements of our Tomorrow RNG operating procedures.
- Lead the development and implementation of the annual planning cycle and long-range capital plan.
- Accountable for the budget, forecasting, development, and execution of all projects managed by the RNG technical staff.
- Expected to respond and hold critical positions on the Incident Management Team. In- person response to major incidents is required as necessary.
- Accountable for leading and coaching technical teams and field leaders through highly complex, time sensitive and business impacting issues.
- Expected to communicate highly technical, complex and or confidential information to technical/non-technical, and senior level audiences in both verbal and written formats.
- Up to 40% of travel to field and corporate locations is required.
Who you are:
You have the following education and experience:
- Related university degree and eight‐plus (8+) years’ experience OR ten‐plus (10+) years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
