Job Description
  • Legal Leadership and Expertise: Serve as a trusted strategic partner and subject matter expert for all commercial and legal matters, providing high-quality advice and overseeing legal operations related to the Solutions business.
  • Contract Management: Lead and supervise the drafting, negotiation, and management of domestic and international contracts, including procurement, technology, IP, and data protection agreements.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop junior legal team members to ensure timely, commercial, and strategic legal support.
  • Risk and Compliance Oversight: Anticipate and advise on IP, competition, and data protection issues, ensure compliance with corporate governance, and manage legal disputes and regulatory matters.
  • Operational Efficiency and Improvement: Contribute to the development of the legal team's strategy, create standard templates, improve legal processes, and manage legal budgets, particularly within APAC operations.
The Successful Applicant
  • Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years' post-qualification experience, specialising in commercial and technology contracts/transactions.
  • Experience advising on commercial and technology law across APAC, with a focus on IP, data protection, and transactions.
  • Proven track record of working with senior management, including executive and board levels, in complex environments.
  • Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on cross-border commercial contracts, including technology investments, IT procurement, and licensing agreements.
  • Strong business judgement, client counselling skills, and excellent academic qualifications.
  • Preferred experience in management, technology/engineering organisations, in-house legal teams, corporate transactions, and antitrust/competition law.
