We are offering an opportunity for a Controller based in Franklin Park, Illinois. This role is integral to the financial functioning of our organization, with a focus on establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.The Controller will guide financial decisions, maximize return on financial assets, and ensure the safeguarding of the company's assets.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and implementing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
- Guiding financial decisions by maintaining and implementing a system of accounting policies and procedures
- Maximizing return and limiting risk on cash by minimizing bank balances
- Preparing budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
- Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
- Overseeing the preparation of periodic financial statements, corporate annual reports, and special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Establishing and monitoring adequate internal controls over the company’s assets
- Implementing cost reduction programs as necessary, including establishing equipment preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques
- Recommending and establishing benchmarks for measuring the company’s performance and monitoring business performance metrics
- Utilizing skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP
- Financial Services, DCAA, ERP
- Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Ability to implement and manage ERP Solutions
- Proficient in overseeing all Accounting Functions
- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Skilled in Auditing procedures and techniques
- Understanding of Budget Processes and ability to effectively manage them
- Previous experience as a Controller or in a similar role is preferred.
