Manual Machinist (1st Shift)

Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits.
Akron Area Manufacturing Company is seeking to hire an experienced Manual Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
REQUIREMENTSHigh school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a machine shop
2+ years of manufacturing experience operating metal lathes
Crank machines through cycles, stopping to adjust tool positions and machine controls to ensure specified timing, clearances and tolerances
Familiar with manual speeds and feeds for mills
Select cutting tools, follow tooling instructions according to written specifications
Properly use and interpret micrometers, bore gages, calipers, and other measuring equipment
Able to understand technical documentation, blueprints, routing instructions...
Understanding lean principals preferred
CNC experience is a plus
Able to work 1st shift 6am 4:30pm Monday - Thursday or 7am 3:30pm Monday - Friday
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
