RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Senior Manager, Learning Technology & Enablement role is part of the Emory Healthcares System Talent & Learning team and directly drives the organizations commitment to our people.
- This role reports to the Corporate Director, Learning & Development and will enable key learning systems across Emory Healthcare impacting 26,000+ employees across hospitals, clinics, functions and service lines as well as applicable Emory University talent in roles that support the healthcare work (such as physicians).
- This role supports a comprehensive talent and learning strategy that focuses on the learning and development of various segments of employees and managers throughout the full organization.

- Learning Technologies
- Optimize the Learning Management System (currently using Healthstream) Emory Healthcare uses to ensure it is known as a customer-facing LMS including but not limited to: - Reviewing the unused functionality and creating deployment plans to activate this work and enable applicable partners across the Emory Healthcare system.
- Actively partner with HR Tech & Reporting team, Digital team, and various technology stakeholders that exist throughout the Emory Healthcare system to drive learning technology efficiencies (e.g. accurate data inputs, improved and automated workflows, creation of success metrics/reporting).
- Enabling the collation of information and analysis of data for insights on effectiveness of systems in facilitating organizational needs. - Building relationships and create active listening strategy for key partners, stakeholders and customers across the Emory Healthcare system to continuously learn about opportunities for improvement and how to meet their needs ongoing as well as moments that matter (e.g. audits and required actioning that occurs after completion of audits).
- Ensuring all LMS user guides, job aides and resources are up-to-date, accurate, easy to access, understandable and successfully utilized by key partners across the organization.
- Manage projects from end-to-end including project planning, benchmarking, stakeholder identification and analysis, communications, and timely deliverables including but not limited to:
- Identifying path forward for Physician LMS in partnership with HR Tech & Reporting Team (moving from multiple LMS system accesses for each provider persona to one customer centric experience for each provider persona).
- Responsible for any new learning system implementations aligned with Talent and Learning team philosophies, including the evaluation of requirements, preparation and deployment for LMS implementation(s) to support One Emory mentality.
- Support contract negotiations and budget management so resources are allocated and optimized to support strategic goals.
- Research externally for latest talent technologies and present business cases for continued innovation to internal systems and processes that drive learning efficiencies across organization.
- Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to direct team member(s) and system-wide system administrators to ensure the team can effectively deliver on learning initiatives.
- Learning & Development
- Accountable for upskilling and leading cross-system LMS administrator area of practice for continuing education and enhancement inside Operating Units/Functions.
- Responsible for partnering across Talent & Learning team to identify opportunities and synergies to better internal processes including but not limited to: program facilitators, instructional designers and talent management.
- Responsible for creating and enabling tailored learning paths for the diverse personas the LMS and other relevant technologies support including both clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Fully optimize the partnership and offerings with the different learning vendors Emory Healthcare uses both within the Talent and Learning team, as well as across the Emory system.
- Identify the synergies and opportunities to better utilize the technology solutions to support leadership development programs and sustain the participant learnings that occur.
- Maintain professional growth by participating in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain a knowledge of national trends and to promote leading edge performance and expertise within the department
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 7 years experience in related setting Skills & Expertise
- Highly experienced in developing and managing LMS platforms, especially in strong regulatory environment.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Experienced in setting and implementing LMS standards.
- Leadership experience preferred (over 2 or more team members).
- Innovative thinking and proven ability to research innovative learning and development practices and tools to continuously enrich and enhance Emory Healthcare talent & learning practices - Strong interest in digital trends, AI, machine learning, and the future of digital capabilities.
- Adept at using data to measure the success of training courses and LMS offerings, connect measurements to organizational strategy, and identify areas for improvement.
- Strong communication skills; ability to work with all levels of talent including Executive Leaders.
- Tolerance for ambiguity balanced with the ability to organize and deploy practical solutions.
- Customer centricity focus and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking mindset.
- Ability to take calculated risks effectively to forward the learning agenda.
- Ability to successfully deploy and implement large-scale projects.
- Strong experience partnering across HR teams, and operating in a matrix organization.
- This is a hybrid role.
- Ability to travel to Emory Healthcare locations in the Atlanta area and deliver in-person trainings as needed is required.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, training and development, organization development, or a related field.
