Dental Assistant - DA24-13811

Location: Bronx, NY (10451)

Hours:

• Per Week: 40
• Per Day: 8
• Days Per Week: 5

Schedule Notes:

• At least 1 year of experience in the role
• Monday-Friday & Saturdays, rotating hours required
• 3 shifts available:
• 8 am to 4 pm
• 9 am to 5 pm
• 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
• 35 hours per week
• In-person interviews preferred

Duties:

• Assist in providing dental services, including preparing patients for exams/treatment
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment
• Mix amalgams, cements, composites
• Take dental x-rays and maintain records
• Perform assigned lab procedures

Skills: 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or its equivalent, with at least 600 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant school
2. High School diploma or its equivalent, with at least 300 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant school plus six months full-time satisfactory experience in the role
3. High School diploma or its equivalent plus one year of full-time satisfactory experience in the role
4. A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements
5. Experience as a receptionist or clerk in a dentist's office is not acceptable
