Family Office Controller, majority Remote/Ft Laduerdale-Mia - Jacksonville

Salary: $150-$175,000 + Bonus from 10-20% to be discussedBenefits: generous comprehensive package
Schedule: standard business hours M-F; with a Majority Remote schedule (and In-office 1-2 days depending as needed; with the flexibility for meetings as needed in areas through Miami and Broward)

The ideal candidate has experience from Family Office or transferable skills overseeing accounting for Multi-entities, Real-Estate portfolio and Investments. Experience from Financial Services is also a plus. And around 6-10 years of proven success in a C Level Suite role with a hands on approach, communicating with executive ownership on the day-to-day and building a department. A CPA is preferred or experience from Public Accounting. Working knowledge of QuickBooks. The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is very useful. Responsibilities include:
- Supports Executive owners with an outlook of the finances, planning and recommendations for effective decision-making to meet goals
- Oversees the day-to-day accounting processes with a hands on approach to streamline efficiencies, implement policies and procedures and compliance
- General Ledger Accounting, various reconciliations, maintaining chart of accounts and accuracy
- Financial statements preparation; month end close process
- Creates various Budget outlines and monitoring of transactions and expenses for operating, business, household etc.
- Variance analysis and projections
- Accounting tasks including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll
- Reconcile allocation of expenses, ensuring correct accounting of incoming funds
- Ensure accuracy in all accounting functions, and to limit errors as much as possible
- Conduct regular auditing to maintain financial integrity; Tax; KYC; and other compliance
- Supervisory and mentorship of staff from 2-3, building a department and cultivating a dynamic culture
A CPA is preferred or experience from Public Accounting
Experience from Family Office or Multi-entities and Real-Estate portfolio, Financial Services and Investments
Expereince with Quickbooks
Ability to communicate in both Enlgish and Spanish is very useful
