Accounts Payable Specialist

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. As a part of our team, you will be tasked with executing key functions related to accounts payable, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating smooth financial operations within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process invoices and payment requests with appropriate documentation
• Implement and suggest improvements for accounts payable functions
• Assist in the maintenance and review of accounts payable policies and procedures
• Process high volume payables and manage recurring payments
• Accurately enter invoices into batches and code them into the AP system
• Process and allocate costs for Expense reports appropriately
• Perform coding and posting
• Reconcile Accounts Payable and assist with Ad-Hoc Reporting
• Assist with month end reporting and accruals
• Upload AP transactions
• Process corporate invoices, credit cards, and expense reports
• Manage communication with vendors and resolve issues related to assigned AP cases
• Research unpaid invoices and vendor statements
• Assist in other areas of AP as needed.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Experience with Coding Invoices
• Competence in Account Reconciliation
• Ability to prepare and analyze Month-end Reports
• Experience with Batching processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable
