Sr. Electrical Engineer - Electronics Production Support
Location: Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Pay: Up to $54.49 per hour

Sr. Electrical Engineer - Electronics Production Support to work with one of our aerospace and defense partners in Huntsville, AL.
Job Overview: -
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Combat Mission Systems business in the area of ground combat vehicles. The candidate will work closely with one or more of our electronics suppliers to provide electrical engineering support in the manufacture of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA)/circuit card assembly (CCA) and the associated system Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) enclosures for one of our combat vehicle systems.-
The selected candidate will be co-located with assigned suppliers to ensure an ongoing high-level of production quality is met. -
The engineer must have experience in the design and manufacture of PCBAs/CCAs and will help resolve supplier quality and manufacturing process concerns in direct support of production. -
The engineer will investigate, evaluate, and support the resolution of supplier quality problems by conducting defect investigations, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects.-
Strong communication skills are required to ensure suppliers understand requirements and expectations; make progress reports and present findings. -
Support team led problem solving and root-cause analysis activities with assigned supplier to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances. -
Evaluate the impact of nonconforming product and assess suppliers' corrective actions. -
Help suppliers with process improvements to ensure to resolve manufacturing process concerns. -
Drive 'Zero Defect' mentality within the supply base. -
Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings within the Integrated Product Team. -
Expected Travel requirement: Approximately 10% or less local travel may be required.-

Required Skills and Experience:-
U.S. Citizenship -
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline-
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a relevant function and industry, to include: -
Working knowledge and familiarity with IPC-A-600, IPC J-STD-001-
Exposure to Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective / Preventative Actions-
Effective, practical problem solver using structured problem-solving methods and systems-
Understanding of technical drawing requirements with ability to determine compliance; -
Computer skills to include MS Office Suite and related industry software applications. -
Effective, clear communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:-
Experience with design of PCBA/CCA for aerospace or defense industries -
Experience with fabrication processes, equipment, test, and instrumentation common in the Aerospace and Defense Industries -
Experience with Low voltage (28Vdc) and/or high voltage (610Vdc) electrical power distribution and management -
Experience with Servo amplifier design, manufacturing, and test experience-
Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-31032, MIL-PRF-55110, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620 -
Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality System, AS9102C First Article Requirements, AS9145 APQP/PPAP Requirements, and Source Inspection. -
Working knowledge of design for environmental qualification including EMI/EMC design and qualification principles
