New York - Contract Analyst

Position Summary:
The Contract Analyst oversees the entire contract lifecycle of low to medium-risk contracts, including planning, processing, awarding, and administering contracts to ensure timely execution and compliance. Act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries and disputes, facilitating prompt resolution and maintaining strong relationships.
Develop and propose contract strategies that effectively address these business needs. Partner with University contract owners to identify and evaluate risks associated with their contracts. In collaboration with the Category Management team and key University stakeholders, review, analyze, and recommend enhancements to both new and existing contracts to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Communicate contract approvals to relevant stakeholders, promoting visibility and awareness across the organization. Conduct audits to ensure the accuracy and completion of information in the electronic contract management system, including contract expiration reminders, version control, and overall organization, to keep all data current.

Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree focus in Finance, Economics, or Supply Chain.

Required Experience:
2+ years of related procurement contract management experience, including experience with procurement, contract negotiation, customer relationship management, and supplier relationship management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with eProcurement technologies

Preferred Experience:

2+ years demonstrated responsibility and experience negotiating contracts. Experience with strategic sourcing and competitive price analysis. Experience in a higher education environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to clearly articulate goals, strategies, and direction. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of meeting critical deadlines. Capable of working independently and effectively under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement management software.

Proven contract negotiation skills, including the development and successful execution of negotiation strategies. Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions, applying logical reasoning and good judgment.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Experience with Jaggaer or comparable systems. Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.

Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
