VP/Director of Finance

Our reputable client is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. • Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
• Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance
• Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
• Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
• Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
• Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
• Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention
• Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
• Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
• Supervise all financial reporting preparation
• Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
• Take ownership of insurance and risk management
• Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
• MBA or CPA is preferred
• Extremely detailed and analytical
• Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems
• Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
