Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accountant to oversee and manage advanced accounting functions within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).You will lead the reconciliation of accounts, assist with audits, and provide strategic financial insights to management. The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary information and supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
