About Our Client
For our international Client, who is a manufacturer in the heavy industry in Europe, we are recruiting for Managing Director Operations for one of the business units, located in central Poland.
Job Description
Responsibilities:The person in this role will be responsible for all areas of production, including:
- Production Team (Foremen and Workers)
- Technology Team
- Planning Team
- Infrastructure and Maintenance Team
- Welding Supervision Team
- Quality Control Team (incl. Laboratory)
- Quality Management, Health and Safety Team
The Successful Applicant
For this function we are searching for a seasoned professional with technical education and several years of experience in management functions in the production of ideally heavy industry/ industrial equipment/ steel processing.The ideal candidate
- Lives in central Poland, or is ready to relocate
- has a degree from a technical university (Engineering, Metallurgy, Automation Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Supply-Chain-Management, …)
- Have at least 5 to 10 years of experience in a leading position in Production, Production Technology or Production Planning
- Since production of large steel structures is integral part of the business, the person should have experience in Technology and Welding Engineering (IWE)
- High focus and extensive experience on process optimization in production, possibly advanced degrees in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar
- English language is a must, German language skills are an advantage
- Have an integrative personality with a strong entrepreneurial thinking and solution-oriented action
- Have a strong analytical mindset and a good mix of assertiveness and empathy
- Is willing to travel within Europe as and when needed
