Cypress Employment has a client in Axis, AL in need of a Temporary HR Receptionist until 1/1/2025.

Pay: $18 an hour

About the Position

As the Human Resources Receptionist, you will be the primary liaison between visitors, vendors, guests, and mill personnel, either by phone, radio, or in person for general or Human Resources information. This position requires patience, courtesy, and a considerate attitude, all of which lend to smooth communication and operations.

This position also includes management of the mailroom.

The receptionist will exercise sound judgment and discretion due to the confidential nature of the information being processed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls directed to Operator or Human Resources from the Automated Attendant
  • Maintain log of visitors and send forms to Safety Department electronically
  • Responsible for transporting deliveries for Admin building from Warehouse and notify recipients
  • Distribute incoming mail into mailboxes. Prepare outgoing mail and packages for shipment using postage machine. Call for repairs, as needed, on postage machine and order postage
  • Maintain FedEx, UPS and USPS forms and supplies
  • Coordinate Food Trucks, Canteen Market and call for repairs and issues with vending machines in the admin building.
  • Assist with company programs and events
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information
  • Schedule in person, phone and Teams interviews for open positions with hiring manager and applicant while keeping track of applicant status
  • Maintain inventory of promotional items for company events, career fairs and recruiting events
  • Career Fairs Register events, Schedule events, Shipping Supplies to events
About You
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, multitasker with strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to work with and at all times maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • 1 Year previous administrative experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Proven effectiveness in customer service
