Staff Accountant - Houston

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role is primarily based on-site and is vital to our operations in the industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in full-cycle accounting and will have exposure to fixed assets.

• Efficiently process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform bank reconciliations and handle journal entries
• Manage the general ledger and assist in month-end close procedures
• Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks
• Monitor and maintain accurate customer credit records
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status
• Assist in maintaining an organized and up-to-date financial system
• Collaborate with department members to achieve overall financial objectives
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations. • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Exhibit proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures.
• Demonstrate experience with Bank Reconciliations.
• Have a good understanding of General Ledger operations.
• Show proficiency in preparing Journal Entries.
• Exhibit experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with SAP software is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data privacy standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines and operate under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
