Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of this position include programming and maintaining software tools and databases for OEM Passenger Car and VAN vehicle durability testing fleets in the United States. The focus is to create high-quality test results, with high efficiency, and in the shortest possible time.Key targets of the vehicle durability testing include validation of the vehicle, powertrain, and drivetrain systems, including software and hardware validation, regulatory requirements, and emissions testing.
- Develop, program, and maintain software tool solutions for more effective vehicle durability testing reporting and tracking.
- Develop, program, and maintain individual R&D testing data analysis reports for powertrain development teams.
- Support fault identification and tracking on driver reports and diagnostic tools. Evaluate faults and lead problem-solving activities, including first-level technical analysis and detailed analysis for overall vehicle issues.
- Support internal Key Process Indicators for local OEM management to monitor the current status and help forecast necessary future changes for endurance testing planning.
- Actively participate in continuous process improvements for internal and external processes. Enable service suppliers to prepare for future requirements and lead preparations.
- Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Engineering or Computer Science
- 3-4 years of exp is required (internship/ externship not applicable
- Knowledge of current automobile technology, vehicle electrical and onboard diagnostics and communication architectures, assembly structure, modules and parts. General knowledge of vehicle functions.
- Knowledge and experience with programming and coding in multiple languages, including Python, JavaScript, SQL, database programming, MATLAB, and MS Excel VBA. Data base knowledge, Data structures and algorithms, Testing procedures, Debugging knowledge, Operating systems, Text editing software are must have's for a software developer's skills
- Ability to control projects from conceptualization to implementation. Clear understanding of controlling key performance indicators and effective reporting.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze and evaluate problems, develop solutions and scenarios, evaluate alternative solutions based on established criteria and decision making.
- Ability to organize workflows within the TechCenter and with all external partners, especially with the durability service suppliers.
- Experience, or willingness to learn, the troubleshooting of data-logger equipment and database systems in order to identify logger issues and to analyze and determine failure root causes and find solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in engineering design and development field of minimum 3 years, preferably in automotive industry
- Master's degree with emphasis in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
