**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Chief of Staff, reporting to IBM's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the marketing organization.This highly visible and collaborative role is crucial to the overall success of the Marketing organization.
Some of your responsibilities may include:
Strategic Planning & Operations
Collaborate with the CMO to develop and implement marketing strategy, aligning with business objectives and company goals
Conduct market research and analysis to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance
Ensure seamless day-to-day operations of marketing campaigns and team, including budgeting, resource allocation, and project coordination
Innovation and Optimization
Identify areas for innovation and process improvement within the marketing organization
Develop and implement initiatives to drive innovation, including pilot programs and proof-of-concept projects
Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement within the marketing team
Communication and Collaboration
Serve as a liaison between the CMO and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on marketing initiatives
Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Design, create, and deploy content that engages, informs, and inspires IBMers and stakeholders to focus their efforts in support of the shared business goals
Performance Management
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness
Analyze data and market trends to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance
Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address gaps in performance
**Required technical and professional expertise**- 5+ years of experience in a marketing leadership role, with a proven track record of success in driving strategic initiatives and improving operational efficiency
- Proven experience working closely with senior leadership, including CEOs, CMOs, and other C-level executives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop insights-driven recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, data analytics tools, and project management software
- Experience with marketing strategy development and execution
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo or Pardot
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics or Tableau
- Certification in marketing or a related field, such as HubSpot or Google Analytics
