Overview:
The Durable Medical Equipment Tech is responsible for Durable Medical equipment delivery, cleaning, preparation, and inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and maintenance, cleaning and repair of home medical equipment to include Oxygen Concentrators, Mobility Aids, client referral intakes, and client follow-up to insure client satisfaction.
- Delivery of home medical equipment to include Oxygen Concentrators, Wheelchairs, and Mobility Aids.
- Completion of assigned documentation and assessments in accordance with Hospital and Departmental procedures.
- Daily driving, for pickup and delivery, of durable medical equipment.
- Department stock maintenance, cleaning and other duties as assigned.
- Enters inventory into Brightree.
- Regularly assists with front desk duties, including greeting customers, answering telephone, maintaining patient files, and data entry.
- In-home O2 equipment setup and patient instruct.
- In-home O2 maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Missouri Chauffeur driver’s license required.
Work Experience:
- Prior experience with in Durable Medical Equipment Technology desired.
- Prior healthcare related work experience desirable.
- General computer knowledge.
