Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Haslet, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of our organization through various accounting tasks such as reconciling general ledger accounts, processing payments, and handling accounts payable and receivables.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure accuracy in bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, payables, receivables, and finalization of all sales.
• Verify and complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Maintain the accounts payable system and ensure secure and timely payments for any due costs.
• Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure invoices and/or checks are properly coded, entered, prepared, and issued to vendors and/or customers.
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly and record cash receipts and make bank deposits.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account and periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
• Maintain the petty cash fund and issue financial statements.
• Assist the external accountant as needed and prepare a financial analysis of the financial statements.
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to perform Journal Entries
• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle financial software
• Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks
• Familiarity with SAP financial software system
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
