Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the shipping and receiving department, managing a team of shipping and receiving associates, and providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Plan and coordinate daily shipping and receiving schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers and efficient receipt of materials for production.
  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, inspecting items for damages, and maintaining detailed records of received goods.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, to ensure accurate and compliant shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, optimizing logistics and minimizing shipping costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile any discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for handling and storing materials, ensuring a safe working environment for the shipping Department
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies within the shipping and receiving department.
  • Basic maintenance of forklift to include safety inspection report.
  • Safe transportation of products and supplies to assigned areas.
  • Packaging of product where required.
  • Quality inspection of product where required. Advise supervisor/manager of any nonconforming product/material.
  • Store received product and materials in proper locations where required.
  • Identification of product through tagging and management of product tags.
  • Loads or unloads trucks where required, including completion of loading tallies or bill of material.
  • Record production where assigned.
  • Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
  • Follows proper safety guidelines. Report injuries, unsafe conditions, and hazardous materials to a supervisor/manager immediately.
  • Obtain & transport materials to designated areas
  • Scan items into JDE system
  • Ensure all parts are placed in correct location
  • Load and unload materials
  • Order and receive wire, pallets, and all raw material for the plant.
  • Send sample of wire to quality control.
  • Assist with cycle counts.
  • Complete all pertinent paperwork.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements
  • Must have excellent work record and attendance.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must have forklift experience
  • Must be able to assist with material handling as needed.
  • Must have scanner experience in warehouse operations.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have good math skills and computer literate.
  • Must be able to read and write fluently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime if needed.
  • Must be able to complete other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • High School education preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience in a warehouse and manufacturing setting is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
  • Ability to become licensed Forklift Operator.

Pay Range: USD $16.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
