Description:

7:30am – 4:00pm M-F / Full Time / 40 Hours

We are aggressively seeking Medical Laboratory Assistants with at least two years’ experience to fill positions at our various Emory Healthcare locations.

The primary responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Assistant II are to perform and evaluate semi-technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens, test material/reagents, blood products, and quality control material. This position works in various areas of the clinical and anatomic pathology laboratories and duties may also include registering patients, ordering tests, collecting samples, and assessing the acceptability of samples for testing.

Additional responsibilities include processing samples for testing, including centrifugation, aliquoting, storage, and shipping. Also, to uphold the values of the organization including providing and demonstrating exemplary customer service skills throughout the pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of experience.
  • Degree in Biology, Science or related major may be considered in lieu of experience.
