We are in search of a skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the food retail industry located in New York. This role involves handling a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, including the management of account balances, payrolls, ledgers, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounts payable operations, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage the closing of financial records monthly and post month-end information, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Supervise and review tasks such as invoice processing, payment transactions, expense reports, and vendor maintenance.
  • Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintain accurate records and control reports.
  • Improve the accounts payable process by enhancing and enforcing procedures.
  • Conduct critical accounting tasks, including general ledger reconciliation, and assist with auditing tasks.
  • Evaluate and manage the use of Microsoft 365 tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable functions.
  • Train the team to use Microsoft 365 applications in alignment with company practices. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Prior experience in Accounts Payable supervision or management within the retail or food store industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices is necessary.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Must have leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Experience with financial software and systems is required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
  • Must have high ethical standards and integrity in detail oriented conduct.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
