Reliability Engineer - CNC
Job Summary:
The Reliability Engineer - CNC Equipment Maintenanceis responsible for
ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of CNC machinery within the manufacturing facility. This role involves implementing maintenance strategies, conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures, optimizingmaintenance schedules, and improving equipment reliability to support production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Equipment Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for CNC machinery to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks on CNC equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate equipment failures and performance issues toidentify
root causes.
Utilize data analysis tools and techniques todetermine
failure modes and develop corrective actions.
Implement solutions to address recurring equipment failures and improve overall reliability.
Reliability Engineering:
Analyze equipment performance data to assess reliability metrics such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
Develop reliability models and predictive maintenance strategies tooptimize
equipment uptime and minimize costs.
Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies to prioritize maintenance tasks based on risk and criticality.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance CNC equipment reliability and performance.
Identifyopportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize maintenance processes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintainaccurate
records of maintenance activities, equipment performance data, and reliability metrics.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate maintenance performance, reliability trends, and improvement opportunities to management.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for CNC equipment maintenance tasks.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to maintenance technicians on best practices for CNC equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology and maintenance practices through training and professional development opportunities.
