Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the project management team to ensure the successful execution of complex construction projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on involvement in the management of both field and office operations while helping deliver high-profile public sector projects.
The Assistant Project Manager - Top General Contractor - Raleigh will be responsible for:
- Assisting in managing project budgets, schedules, and contracts
- Coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Supporting project controls and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Maintaining documentation and reporting project progress to senior leadership
- Managing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors

Key qualifications for Assistant Project Manager - Top General Contractor - Raleigh include:
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager with a general contractor
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in project management software and project controls
- Familiarity with contracts and experience working with the NC State Construction Office
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
