Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice: utilizes appropriate resources to gather data and assess patient care needs.
Collaboration, delegation, supervision: Forms partnerships with all members of the interdisciplinary team; Communications with coworkers and other departments in a professional manner.Advocates for the patient and family and protects patient's autonomy, dignity and decision making rights. Delivers care in a non-judgemental and nondiscriminatory manner; Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural diversities of patients and coworkers; identifies, documents and report incidents per organization standards; Supports mission of VMFH; Supports philosophy of patient centered care and assists support staff to do so; Supports belief that anchor the documentation system and documents according to established standards.
Maintain clinical and professional expertise through continuing education; Update knowledge base by attending inservices on new equipment and procedures.
Qualifications:
We require:
- Current WA State RN license is required.
- Recent RN experience with acute care patients.
- Other certifications may be required for specialty areas.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements
