We are seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary to join our team based in Sherman Oaks, California. In this role, you will be expected to provide comprehensive legal support, manage court filings, handle calendaring, and maintain document formatting.
This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, allowing you to play a significant role in the law firm. This position is on-site 4 days a week, with one day of work from home flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to 2-3 attorneys, ensuring smooth operations and effective legal support
- Manage litigation cases, with a focus on business related issues
- Coordinate and manage court filings, both at the federal and state levels
- Handle calendaring using Outlook, ensuring all important dates and deadlines are accurately recorded and tracked
- Carry out document formatting tasks using Prolaw, with a focus on Tables of Authorities (TOAs) and Tables of Contents (TOCs)
- Support the discovery process, ensuring all relevant information and documents are properly collected and organized
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Secretary
- Experience as a Legal Assistant is required
- Strong Calendar Management skills
- Ability to Draft Correspondence efficiently
