Overview (Scope of Role)

Trinseo is seeking a Technical Sales Representative, CASE - North America to be located virtually in the United States. Specific geographic location is flexible. The purpose of this role is to deliver aggressive growth in the CASE business. This will be accomplished by maintaining existing business and account management and through developing new accounts within new applications and new markets with latest technologies offered.

This will be a remote role with up to ~50% travel to be expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales at CASE business accounts: Manage an existing customer base, to deliver growth for Trinseo. Account management, distributor management, prospecting, negotiating within the assigned territory
  • Assist in development of segment strategies, competitive assessments, target customers, value propositions and product development for our targeted business development markets
  • Keep abreast of all our new products, services and position into customer base
  • Provide up to date forecasting, competitive data, and market news
  • Demonstrate sales excellence behaviors and inspire excellence in others
  • Develop technical presentation skills and materials
  • Leverage account planning tools, margin management tools, and electronic technology to develop and manage plans for accounts within the portfolio of business
  • Provide customers with best-in-class technical support
  • Identify, generate, and communicate the technical value for the customer
  • Deliver CDA-projects to qualify new product solutions in alignment with the business strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or other relevant field of study
  • Demonstrated 5-10+ years’ experience in chemical sales with latex binders and/or CASE markets exposure a plus
  • Engaged in enhancing the understanding around CASE applications (as it relates to Latex Binders)
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence, negotiate, build trust, and build effective relationships
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize sales techniques including Sales Force, lead generation, networking, and consultative selling.
