Administrative Assistant

We are in search of a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team located in Albany, New York. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play an integral role in our fundraising team, interacting with donors and volunteers, and managing databases.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in fundraising and administrative tasks for the Membership team
  • Manage and provide support for three on-air fund drives annually
  • Handle inventory, organization, packing, and shipping
  • Respond to routine inquiries through telephone, email, and in person
  • Manage general phone calls and guest greetings along with other front office duties
  • Assist in the daily process of handling monetary donations
  • Provide training and support to volunteers
  • Maintain a comfortable work environment in an open and busy workspace
  • Solicit businesses for in-kind donations through phone and email correspondences
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Allegiance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with answering inbound calls and making outbound calls as needed
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to handle customer inquiries and issues effectively
  • Excellent data entry skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and promptly
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality for handling sensitive information.
