[ref. s1336104] Injection Molding Process Technician

Work directly for a New Jersey (Warren County) area company that produces precision and custom plastic injection molds.

The Injection Molding Process Technician is primarily responsible for the safe set-up and start-up of plastic injection molding machines and their related equipment, as well as correcting Quality-related non-conformances.

• Set-up injection molding machines including basic electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and coolant system connections.
• Contribute to maintaining overall plant cleanliness. Ensure proper line clearance at each press before, during, and after production.
• Start-up injection molding machines to previously established process parameters. Verify all systems are functioning appropriately.
• Submit start-up samples to the Quality Department for production approval, making process changes as required to achieve acceptable product per the customer"s specifications.
• Continuously monitor and verify product quality in accordance with established procedures.
• Make minor adjustments or repairs to equipment as needed. Submit Work Orders with supporting information to the Maintenance Department for more significant issues.
• Ensure all documentation and work practices are performed in alignment with Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and plant policies.

• Serve as a back-up Machine Operator, Material Handler, or Shift Supervisor due to absence or other business need.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Management, Engineering, and Quality staff.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working habits.
• Ability to operate a computer with a Windows-based operating system, including ERP software (IQMS).
