Staff Accountant

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Johnson City, Tennessee. In this role, you will be executing a variety of accounting tasks such as handling accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and managing general ledger operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and process accounts payable and receivable operations
• Perform 3-way match against purchase orders and prepare check runs
• Manage posting of payments and carry out collections tasks
• Conduct research to resolve any discrepancies in accounts
• Prepare and present aging reports to the team
• Perform cash forecasting to help guide financial decisions
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records
• Execute month-end close tasks and perform reconciliations
• Maintain and update customer credit records as necessary
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

• Possess a University Degree, preferably in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of General Ledger management
• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Navision accounting software is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Posting Payments and Check Runs
• Prior experience in Collections - Commercial is beneficial
• Ability to prepare and analyze Aging Reports
• Experience in Cash Forecasting
• Strong skills in Researching Discrepancies and problem-solving
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
