Keshet Senior Program Manager

The Keshet Senior Program Manager at the Israeli American Council (IAC) is responsible for designing, delivering, and overseeing high-quality Keshet programming focused on connecting children (ages 4-8) and their families to Israeli culture, the Hebrew language, and Jewish heritage.

This role involves cultivating meaningful relationships with schools, JCCs, and community partners to build a connected and engaged family community in alignment with IAC’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Implementation:
  • Lead the planning and execution of Keshet programs and activities, ensuring each initiative aligns with the IAC’s mission of fostering Israeli-American connections and Jewish identity.
  • Collaborate with the national team to continuously improve and adapt Keshet content, delivery, and activities based on community needs and feedback.
  • Community Outreach and Engagement:
  • Develop and manage relationships with schools, JCCs, synagogues, and community partners to broaden the reach of Keshet and enhance community connections.
  • Organize and coordinate events, workshops, and activities to increase the visibility and participation of Keshet programs.
  • Parent and Family Communication:
  • Maintain consistent communication with parents of Keshet participants, providing program updates, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns.
  • Engage families through events and community-building initiatives that reinforce a strong support network for children and parents alike.
  • Program Quality and Staff Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the New England staff to ensure Keshet programming meets organizational goals and standards, with particular attention to community needs in the New England area.
  • Support Keshet facilitators in preparing for and leading sessions, providing guidance and session reviews to the national Keshet director.
  • Attend all relevant IAC Keshet events, including national training sessions, forums, and other developmental meetings.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years in a program management role, preferably within informal or Jewish education.
  • Experience in group facilitation and community engagement, particularly with children and families.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining partnerships with schools, JCCs, and community organizations.
  • Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities. Knowledge about its: people, culture, conflicts, history etc.
  • Strong social skills and experience in community building.
  • Experience in group facilitation (in particular with teens) and informal education.
  • Flexible hours to include work in the evenings and weekends as needed for regional activities and seminars.
  • Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and social networking tools.
  • Highly efficient and organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good operational & administrative management.
  • Ability to get along with all levels within the organization.
  • Speaks, reads, and writes in high-level English and Hebrew knowledge.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple programs and events.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
  • Deep understanding of Israeli culture, Jewish heritage, and community-building practices.
