Responsibilities:
We are seeking to hire a Senior Project Coordinator at its on-site contractor location in Washington, DC.
The Senior Project Coordinator will administer and organize projects while working closely with the Project Managers to prepare comprehensive project schedules and project plans at the Department of Energy - National Nuclear Security Administration.You will be responsible for organizing and facilitating meetings, documenting notes/actions, and producing meeting minutes for distribution. In addition, you will perform various coordinating tasks, such as schedule, risk, issues management, and administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation.
You will work closely with the Program and Deputy Program Manager to prepare communications, presentations, and other administrative tasks.
The Senior Project Coordinator’s duties are to ensure the on-time completion of all projects and that the projects meet high-quality standards.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities- Maintain, analyze, and monitor project plans and project schedules
- Organize and facilitate meetings
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
- Ensure deadlines are met
- Determine and report on project changes
- Provide administrative support as needed
- Undertake project tasks as required
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance
- Create project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective
Qualifications:
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies- U.S. Citizenship (Dual citizenship not allowed)
- Ability to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) “L” or “Q” Clearance or an active Secret or Top security clearance from Department of Defense (DOD), with the ability to transfer to DOE to achieve a Q clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Five (5)+ years of proven work experience as a Senior Project Coordinator
- In-depth project management knowledge and experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire
- Working knowledge of the MS Project Tool
- Perform a variety of scheduling and planning functions encompassing conceptual schedules, options analysis, baselines, progressive measurements, and reporting with limited supervision
- Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, project schedules and action plans
- Solid organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
- Strong client-facing, communications, and teamwork skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with risk management and quality assurance control
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Project and other Microsoft applications
- Working knowledge of SharePoint
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment
- Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Proven ability in tracking project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Full-time on-site
- The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
