This lead role is responsible for overseeing the set-up and clean-up of food and beverage during banquet functions in the operations continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. The focus shall always be on ensuring a safe and comfortable environment while maintaining a positive can do attitude with an emphasis on the highest level of guest service for both external and internal guests to Live!Casino and Hotel.
Responsibilities:
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Assist the Banquet Manager with scheduling, reporting, training and performance management.
- Guide the Banquet servers in set up of tables and place settings.
- Assist with the planning, organizing and execution of all banquet functions including, but not limited to, breakfast, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc.
- Greet and welcome client representative and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
- Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
- Assist in the service oversight catered functions, in house and off site.
- Responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event.
- Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards and operating procedures in the banquet and catering service.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met.
- Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience.
- Be familiar with all current and upcoming event details.
- Should be able to work under pressure and also work in long or break shifts.
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment for functions assigned.

- POS (point of sales) Software experience.
- Upbeat, outgoing and positive attitude.
- Flexible schedule.
- Ability to:
- Speak with others using clear, fluent English and professional language.
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Read and comprehend basic instructions.
- Perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in Micros, XLS, and Microsoft Word.
- Experience working in a team environment.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- Experience: Supervisory/lead experience in F&B preferred.
- Two years of banquet service experience.
- Alcohol Beverage Control card and any applicable health certificates
- Must be able to comply with all Maryland state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
- Repetitive lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Bending, stooping, and squatting.
