Compensation: $18.40/hr
Part - Time 24 hours
06:00pm-06:00am(Thurs) @Fredericksburg
07:00pm - 07:00am (Wed) Tech Center

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direct security and related public services.
Responsibilities:
You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding HSS’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.- Our healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. Our Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
- Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
- Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Tarian Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian Taser Policy
