About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO at a high growth, privately held, global, manufacturer of world-class products located near Wheeling, IL. The company is growing through strategic acquisitions to grow their manufacturing footprint, and are now seeking to add an Assistant Controller to the team!
Reporting into the Controller with daily communication to the CFO, you will have full ownership of the Accounting & Finance function, while leading and mentoring a team of 5+ individuals. As the Assistant Controller, you will also drive key process improvements to create efficiencies within the organization involving month-end, costing, system implementations, and more.
Job Description- Manage a team of 5+ individuals
- Oversight of month end close processes
- Oversee day-to-day A/R and A/P functions
- Assess current accounting operations and evaluating and improving internal control systems.
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Work to improve internal control systems
- Continuously improve cost accounting
- Support activities of the outside CPA firms

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
- Manufacturing experience
- Cost experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- Prior industry experience preferred
