Assistant to the Quality and Development Manager

The Quality & Development Manager oversees quality assurance in production processes and the development of new products, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements. This role focuses on quality management, product development support, customer communication, cost analysis, and process optimization.

salary: $23 - $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of products on the production line and verify machine settings during operation.
  • Perform incoming inspections and prepare quality reports for raw materials.
  • Monitor processes to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist Development Engineers during the new product launch process.
  • Optimize development processes through process validation and test data collection.
  • Prepare PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation for new product launches.
  • Assemble and deliver PPAP binders to customers.
  • Conduct cost analysis for new development projects and bids.
  • Provide compelling cost data for customers during the bidding process.
  • Calculate initial cost estimates and manage budgets during the new product development phase.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Participate in biweekly video meetings with customers and Development Engineers to review project progress.
  • Address customer concerns and respond promptly to quality or development requests.
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve efficiency and propose process improvements to reduce defects.
