Epic Radiant Analyst, Ambulatory, UofL Health, First shift

Overview:

Epic Radiant Analyst will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and technical staff on assigned Epic application from the current clinical and/or business system(s). This analyst supports the Radiant module. Utilizing knowledge of clinical and/or business operations, intra- and inter-department workflows and processes, and patient-centered care along with critical thinking and organizational skills, they will develop, coordinate, review, analyze, and implement Epic applications, including specification gathering, configuration, testing, modification, and ongoing support.

The Certified Epic Radiant Analyst will provide specialized operational knowledge and support to their counterparts from other applications and project leadership in order to successfully meet goals related to the development and implementation of the assigned Epic applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary support contact for the application's end‐users
  • Working knowledge of imaging workflows and PACS applications
  • Identifying issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them
  • Guiding workflow design, building, and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software
  • Identifying and implementing requested changes to the system
  • Serving as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and Epic teams
  • Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings
  • Working with Epic representatives, your organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs in regard to the project deliverables and timeline
  • Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows by attending site visits and other integrated sessions
  • Troubleshooting problems and questions
  • Demonstrated progressive experience with on-line information systems; healthcare environment preferred.
  • Strong analytic and organizational skills, particularly in planning, communications, process redesign, and problem solving.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of users who have a varying level of computer expertise.

Qualifications:

Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems / Clinical Informatics or clinical discipline, OR 3 years of related IT experience in a healthcare environment.
Licensure:
  • Epic Certification is required. Credentials in clinical practice field preferred
  • Certification in EpicCare Ambulatory preferred.

Experience:

Required:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related IT experience in a healthcare environment.
