Albany - Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly with general ledger functions, and hold at least an associate's degree in accounting or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily general ledger accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of an associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on general ledger work.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
