The Technical Sales Engineer is a great opportunity for an engineer with technical experience to transition into a customer solution oriented role with AVL TSI.
Our team is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated and experienced professional engineer to join our team. The Technical Sales Engineer utilizes technical background and expertise to provide solutions to our customers. If you have an interest in coupling your technical skills with customer interfacing skills, this is a great opportunity for you.The Technical Sales Engineer fulfills a vital role within AVL by creating packages of equipment, software, and services to meet the customer’s requirements, and translating these needs into cost effective technical solutions. The role involves creating and developing customer solutions multiples areas, including engine, powertrain, e-motor, e-axle and battery testing.
This position will create and develop customer solutions for a variety of customers (ranging from start-ups to OEMs) and continue supporting the growth of AVL Test Systems with new customers.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in related area
- Strong communication skills
- Strong fundamental knowledge of powertrain testing
- Demonstrated experience with AVL related products preferred
- Demonstrated successful experience in technical sales preferred
- Ability to multi-task and manage projects/assignments while under time restrictions
- Travel approximately 10 – 25% to meet the needs of customers / minimal overseas travel required
