Job Duties:

This position will oversee the Graduate Medical Education (GME) for the Anesthesiology Residency Program at the University of Florida College of Medicine at Jacksonville, providing essential administrative support and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Program Director and Associate Program Directors.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and University’s Office of Educational Affairs (OEA) to develop strategies for achieving and maintaining compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), and institutional policies.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies from the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and monitor GMEC projects.
  • Oversee external regulatory agency reports including AMA FREIDA, ACGME ADS, ABA requirements.
  • Oversee educational programs including didactic conferences, evaluations, duty hours, and policy adherence.
  • Ensure residents and fellows meet institutional requirements for compliance, clinical applications, and mandatory training.
  • Maintain the master rotation schedule and oversee reporting of resident activities to the OEA.
  • Assign and compile resident formative and summative evaluations and feedback as per ACGME policies.
  • Oversee resident personnel actions such as appointments, reappointments, and terminations in compliance with University policy.
  • Maintain data on ECFMG, VISA, and RA status information; prepare required reports as needed.
  • Coordinate and document all meetings required for the residency program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) administration, or 4 years in administrative functions and processes.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Arts/Science preferred.
