Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Incumbent provides patient care to an assigned group of patients in a procedural setting. The nurse incorporates the psycho-motor and age appropriate skills of the patient/family/significant other utilizing knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Acts as a role model and resource to other clinical staff in the area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum of 6 months demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting
  • Experience in urology procedures in an outpatient urology clinic
  • Current California RN license
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to regularly travel locally to Ambulatory Clinic off-site locations
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Licenses and Certifications:

  • BLS
