Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct day-to-day full cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to processing by comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Maintain a purchase order log by working closely with Operations
- Obtain appropriate approval(s) for all invoices
- Assist in the preparation of bi-weekly batch check runs
- Ability to process and follow up on "rush" items
- Timely responses to internal and external vendor inquiries/issues
- Research and resolution of AP issues, including regular vendor statement review
- Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved, including but not limited to month-end
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Prepare annual NJ Recycling report
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of Accounts Payable experience,
- Detail-oriented, professional attitude, and reliable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and prioritizing skills
- Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and be a ‘team player’ at all times
- Netsuite/Oracle experience preferred
- Basic Excel skills
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations is preferred
- Proficient with high volume of transactions
- Some supervisory or lead experience is a plus
Education:
- Accounting Degree preferred
