Tax Accountant
The Tax Accountant is responsible for filing state & local tax returns, preparing financial statements and reports, and providing tax planning services. This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, research tax law regulations, update accounting records/files, prepare accurate and timely reports in compliance with established standards and procedures.The Tax Accountant must also be able to provide excellent customer service to clients.
In order to perform the duties of the Tax Accountant, it is important for the individual to possess strong communication and analytical skills. A bachelors degree in accounting or a related field is often preferred for this position. Additionally, experience with tax preparation software as well as previous knowledge of tax laws, regulations and procedures will be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
File accurate and timely tax returns.
Assist in Preparation of financial statements, reports and analyses compliance.
Analyze financial data to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement.
Research tax law regulations to ensure company compliance with filing requirements.
A 4 year degree in Accounting or related is required.
