Job Description

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:Quality Assurance and Improvement:

  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
  • Conduct advanced inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify defects.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify trends and inform improvement efforts.
  • Implement process improvements to prevent recurrence of non-conforming materials and customer complaints.

Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

  • Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and address underlying issues.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in problem-solving methodologies.

Customer and Supplier Relations:

  • Manage customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to address non-conforming materials and drive quality improvements.

Audit and Compliance:

  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Documentation and Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of quality processes, inspections, and test results.

Material Review Board (MRB):

  • Chair MRB meetings and analyze non-conforming materials to determine appropriate disposition.

The Successful Applicant

A successfull Quality Engineer will have:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Experience: Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within the manufacturing industry
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Expertise: Expert knowledge of advanced quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to lead a team, mentor junior technicians, and communicate effectively with various departments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using cutting-edge inspection tools and equipment.
  • Certifications: ISO 9001 and AS9100 experience.
