Base pay $19.53/hour + additional compensation for higher education and/or years of experience in the field, up to $22.76.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9-3pm (30 hr/week) *with potential for 40 hr with an overnight shift*

We are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to work in a 4-bed male group home setting with adults (over the age of 22) with individuals recieving treament for Autism Specrtum Diagnosis in the Sterling area.

In our community group home in Sterling individuals learn the skills needed for independent living and are encouraged to make meaningful life choices. Our goal is to support individuals to access the services they need, build community connections and to achieve the best quality of life possible.

As a Direct Support Professional, you are a teacher
  • coaching and demonstrating skills to increase individual’s independence, relationship builder
  • developing positive connections with individuals, their friends and families and their DDS service coordinators and an environmental manager
  • monitoring the safety and security of the home and community.

Responsibilities may include coaching and assisting in hygiene routines, chore completion, meal preparation, administration of medications, completion of required paperwork, planning and facilitating recreational activities, assisting with transportation and supporting individuals in working and achieving their goals.

Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Active driver’s license is required.
  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Must be MAPS certified

Schedule:

Must be able to attend a 2 week paid orientation in Rutland, which runs Monday-Friday, 8AM to 4PM

Schedules available proceeding orientation:

Monday-Friday 9am-3pm (potential to add an overnight schedule for 40 hr/week)
