We are seeking an experienced Dental Surgery Assistant to join our dynamic periodontic team in Agawam, MA. As a vital member of our periodontic team, you will provide critical support in both preoperative and postoperative phases, ensuring that our patients receive unparalleled periodontal services.This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your career alongside a seasoned team of professionals dedicated to improving oral health care standards. Location:

Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday
- 1 Friday per month
Responsibilities:
- Preparing patient charts, recording treatment plans, and updating dental records
- Operating X-ray and 3D scanning equipment and developing radiographs for diagnostic purposes
- Preparing and sterilizing periodontal instruments, materials, and equipment following infection control and biohazard protocols
- Assisting the periodontist with all chairside procedures, including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup
- Preparing patients for periodontal procedures and monitoring vital signs during treatments
- Providing patients with information on periodontal health care, treatment plans, and postoperative care instructions
- Monitoring and ordering supplies for periodontal treatments as required
- Maintaining instruments and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Performing other duties and tasks as periodically assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Certified dental assistant program (preferred)
- 1+ years of dental surgical assisting experience
- Radiography certification
- CPR Certified
