Work for a Connecticut based industrial technology company that provides high-efficiency electrical equipment to Industrial, Oil/Gas and Military industries.

CNC Programmer:

Position Summary:
This position requires programming using CAD CAM software, in maintaining 5 Axis Machining Centers with Turning capabilities as well as Horizontal and Vertical Turret Lathes.

Will directly report to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

Programming, set up and operate CNC Milling and Turning:

o Review of specifications, verify procedures and accuracy
o Ability to read blueprints/drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T
o Maximizing machine uptime, efficiency, and quality to exceed goal of 90% OEE
o Develop and maintain tool data sheets
o CNC programming on Fanuc, OSP and Siemens controls
o Designing and manufacturing modular work holdings and fixtures
o New part process planning
o Update setup documentation

Maintaining of equipment including:

o Reporting of necessary repairs
o Trouble shooting
o Tooling and Fixtures

Ability to work with a variety of materials - primarily nodular iron with a 10% mix of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Perform other duties as assigned by Machine Shop Supervisor.
